About the role

The Shift Lead position at Banfield is responsible for performing the duties of a Client Services Coordinator or Vet Assistant when not filling in or assisting the Practice Manager or Chief of Staff. This role involves guiding the team to maximize productivity and profitability of the hospital, ensuring effective communication with all clients and internal stakeholders, and overseeing the team when needed.

Responsibilities

• Takes great enjoyment in assisting and supporting the hospital leadership in developing an efficient, productive team that provides the highest quality care and service to the most pets and clients.
• Fulfills the role of Client Services Coordinator or Vet Assistant, following Banfield protocols and practices to focus the team on achieving practice priorities while building the hospital's culture and brand.
• Supervises the team during peak times, ensuring quality medical care, exceptional client service, associate engagement, and maximum productivity.
• Creates an environment where a team can deliver quality, efficient, and effective veterinary care to pets and fosters an environment that engages associates.
• Supports the hospital leadership in creating an environment where associates do their best and feel good about being a member of the team.
• Assists in scheduling associates to meet client needs, proactively planning time off and CE scheduling, and ensuring compliance with all practice policies and procedures.
• Ensures adherence to Banfield dress and grooming guidelines.

• Must be 18 years of age or older.

The pay range for this role is $17.57 - $22.45 Hourly. The pay range listed reflects a general hiring range for the area, with the specific rate determined based on the candidate’s experience, skill level, and education, and may vary depending on location or applicable minimum wage laws.
