About the role

Manage the shift schedules of operators, allocate jobs to maintenance & contract supervisors according to schedules and requirements, and provide shop floor training to the team.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day production activities as per defined process parameters through regular conditional monitoring and assist in resolving deviations such as leakages, spillages, and unsafe conditions.
• Achieve plant production targets by monitoring process parameters, yield, and quality during the shift.
• Participate in Job Safety Analysis before initiating any work and follow the Permit System accordingly, ensuring permit closure post work completion.
• Maintain good housekeeping standards in the plant for smooth operations.
• Ensure availability of raw materials & finished goods by communicating with other divisions & departments like stores & material.
• Handle emergency situations & inform superiors for any deviation, acting as an incident controller in absence of SMC - Site Main Controller.
• Identify & report unsafe conditions to immediate superior & rectify unsafe acts immediately.
• Promote highest safety standards & BBS (Behaviour Based Safety) by ensuring usage of required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) by self & contract workers.
• Verify the quantity & quality of batch raw material and maintain records of process parameters like (PH, scrubber, dip-check, weight, load cell, density).
• Monitor & control environmental parameters during the shifts.
• Maintain availability levels of utilities (steam, air, cooling water) & report shortfalls to the superior.
• Coordinate with QC lab for results of samples & report to seniors.

Requirements

Qualification: B.E (Chemical), B.Sc, M.Sc (Chemistry)

Experience: 4-5 Years
