Why You Will Love This Role

As a Field Service Engineer, you will:

  • Conduct planned and reactive maintenance on generators (20-1500kVA).
  • Work a shift pattern of 5 days in 7, primarily midweek.
  • Assist other engineers in the field using a provided company vehicle.
  • Diagnose faults and perform breakdown repairs.
  • Liaise with Coordinators for efficient scheduling and planning.
  • Adhere to health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Collect parts from suppliers as required.
  • Maintain accurate records using the company’s bespoke management system.

Requirements

  • Time-served Mechanical/Electrical Engineer or qualified to NVQ Level 2 or above.
  • Experience with generators ranging from 20-1500kVA.
  • Ability to perform risk assessments.
  • Previous mechanical engineering experience is highly desirable.
  • Full UK driving licence (maximum of 6 points); willingness to undertake towing training if needed.
  • Confidence in dealing with customers across various sectors.
  • Strong communication skills, both in person and over the phone.

Pay

Competitive salary with engineering levels based on experience, plus a 10% location allowance depending on postcode.

Schedule
