Responsibilities
- Knowledge of basic socioeconomic principles
- Program terminology and applicable programs
- Customer service principles and community resources
- Basic mathematical principles
- Avoiding errors in documentation and maintaining accuracy
- Verifying documents to determine eligibility for benefits, social services, and employment
- Conducting needs assessments
- Making referrals for services
- Providing administrative support in a law enforcement agency in a clerical capacity
- Interviewing clients and providing program information to the public
Requirements
- High School Diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent
- Two (2) years of education, training, and/or experience sufficient to obtain the knowledge and skill to successfully perform the essential duties of the job
- Related work experience may include verifying documents, conducting needs assessments, making referrals, and providing administrative support in a law enforcement agency
Qualifications
- Valid California Motor Vehicle Driver's License
- Pass an extensive background investigation and be fingerprinted
- Disqualification for certain felony, misdemeanor, and traffic offenses on a case-by-case basis
