Sheri Shields

Sheri Shields is the Senior Manager of Small Business Engagement at the Greater Akron Chamber, collaborating with the Economic Development team to support small businesses, with a focus on woman- and minority-owned companies.

About the Role

In this position, Sheri develops relationships, makes introductions, and provides memorable experiences for small business owners. She enjoys working directly with people and helping them grow their businesses.

Background

Before joining the Chamber team, Sheri was a Chamber member and benefit provider. Her positive experiences as a member led her to accept a role on the team 25 years ago. She is a proud alumna of the University of Akron and remains actively engaged with the university.

Personal

Sheri lives with her husband, two sons, and a very opinionated dachshund (her granddog). Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family, traveling, visiting parks, and attending music and theater events.
