SHEQ Software Developer
About the role
Linde Inc. is seeking a SHEQ Software Developer to join our team in Tonawanda, NY, or The Woodlands, TX. This role involves collaborating with business stakeholders to develop operational software solutions, architecting and leading full-stack development, and supporting the growth of junior team members.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate complex operational challenges into clear, effective technical solutions
- Architect and lead full-stack development of large-scale operational software, owning engineering decisions and building sustainable systems
- Stay current with evolving technologies and actively contribute to upgrading the team’s technology stack
- Support the growth of junior team members through technical mentorship and knowledge sharing
- Balance development of new solutions with maintenance and support of existing tools to ensure reliability and performance
Requirements
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Five or more years of software development experience with a strong track record of working from ambiguous requirements to well-defined solutions
- Proven full-stack development skills including system design expertise with experience building complex systems and improving existing architectures
- Strong JavaScript skills and experience building modern single-page applications; experience with Vue.js preferred
- Further backend programming skills with project experience; knowledge of C# and .NET is a plus and strong relational database skills including schema design, querying, and performance tuning
- The willingness and availability to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally
- Preferred experience in operational or industrial software domains, especially safety-related applications and familiarity with operations research, mathematical modeling, and data science concepts
- Experience designing and building ETL pipelines is required for this role
