Shelving & Racking Technician

About the role

BT Retail Solutions, a division of Channel Partners, is seeking individuals who enjoy hands-on work in a team environment and are willing to travel. This position involves installing, moving, and replacing steel racking/cantilevers, assembling storage shelving, and assisting with other jobs as needed.

Responsibilities

• Install, move, and replace steel racking/cantilevers.
• Assemble storage shelving, rack shelving, structural shelving, and steel shelving systems.
• Replace damaged racking components.
• Move products from old to new racking.
• Auxiliary tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Must have reliable transportation.
• Available to travel within your local state and surrounding states.
• Able to work days, nights, and weekends as scheduled.
• Able to read diagrams (e.g., blueprints and RIGs).
• Ensure compliance with all safety policies.
• Mechanically inclined or experienced with racking installation and demo.
• Skilled with hand tools, cordless power tools, and mechanical assembly tools.
• Able to confirm accuracy and job quality using established mechanical and safety standards.
• Able to (or willing to learn) operate order pickers, forklifts, and scissor lifts.
• Comfortable working on a lift up to 20 feet off the ground.
• Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs., occasional lifting up to 75 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in construction and fixture installation preferred.
• Experience with racking installation and demo preferred.
• Experience with hand tools, cordless power tools, and mechanical assembly tools preferred.
• Experience operating order pickers, forklifts, and scissor lifts preferred.

Skills

• Hands-on skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to follow safety protocols.

Pay

Minimum Pay: USD $17.00/Hr.

Maximum Pay: USD $18.00/Hr.
