Families in Transition is a mission-driven organization dedicated to preventing and breaking the cycle of homelessness. We empower individuals through dignified housing, innovative solutions, collaborative relationships, and opportunities for donors and volunteers.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe and welcoming environment by supervising resident activities, addressing behavioral issues, and responding to the needs of our residents.
• Support daily operations by explaining program rules to new residents, assigning beds, monitoring supplies, and documenting daily logs and incident reports.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by providing input on shelter policies and programs, helping to identify and implement changes that enhance service quality.
• Maintain security during "awake" shift coverage and ensure a safe environment for both residents and staff.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• An understanding of housing safety concerns.
• Demonstrated proficiency in excellent customer service.
• Willingness to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
• A compassionate and professional demeanor with the ability to handle a variety of situations.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be authorized to work in the US.

Pay

• 1st shift: $20 per hour.
• 2nd shift (Friday-Tuesday): $20+$1 shift differential per hour.
• 2nd shift (Tuesday - Saturday): $20+$1 shift differential per hour.
• 3rd shift (Friday-Tuesday): $20.50 +$1.50 Shift differential per hour.
• 3rd shift (Thursday- Monday): $20.50 +$1.50 Shift differential per hour.

Schedule

• 1st shift: Friday-Monday.
• 2nd shift: Friday-Tuesday, Tuesday - Saturday.
• 3rd shift: Friday-Tuesday, Thursday- Monday.
