Responsibilities

• Planning the sequence of pipe installation to avoid interference with obstructions and other disciplines.
• Cutting of pipe using band saws, cutting torch, and pipe cutting machine.
• Aligning of pipe spools using come-a-longs, tuggers and other rigging tools.
• Threading of pipe using threading machine or hand threaders.
• Assembles and installs variety of metal pipe fittings, including those made of stainless steel, CUNI, and carbon steel.
• Joins piping by means of threaded and welded connections.
• Uses all required measuring tools to confirm that pipe is fabricated as per drawings.
• Secures pipes to structural supports with clamps, brackets, and hangers, using hand tools.
• Afford assistance with pressure testing of lines as per client specifications and governing code.
• Operates various power tools in accordance with company safety policies.
