Responsibilities

• Aid the Crew Chief in managing the work of the employees in the Sheet/Structures department.
• Perform internal and external sheet metal repairs and modifications to all aircraft serviced at the facility.
• Research and develop repair schemes using blueprints, engineering orders, service bulletins, and other technical publications.
• Fabricate various sheet metal parts in their entirety by interpreting blueprints, calculating angles, diameters, and bend allowances, and then cutting shaping, and forming the part.
• Work independently and lead projects.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 5-7+ years aircraft sheet metal experience.
• Familiar with avionics and antenna installs.
• Proven mechanical and technical aptitude.
• Proven experience using a variety of hand and power tools, including precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, protractors, etc.).
• Prior experience operating sheet metal machinery to fabricate units with complex contours and multiple angles.
• Ability to work through disciplinary issues and problem resolution.
• Strong communication skills required, both verbal and written.
• Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds.
• Ability to work overtime, as needed.

• Airframe Designation.

Pay

Salary: $32.81 – 41.01

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, StandardAero considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, skills, and current market conditions.
