Responsibilities

• Interpret construction drawings with basic mathematic ability
• Complete work assignments using company drawings, test documents, technical manuals, shipyard procedures, and shop machinery
• Layout, fabrication, assembly, and installation of all light-gage metalwork, including air-conditioned ductwork, lockers, cabinets, prefabricated bulkheads, doors, furniture, and formica
• Perform joiner work, fabricate nonstructural bulkhead doors, and stainless steel trim
• Work conditions may include entry into restricted/confined spaces

This position is located at the Quonset Point facility in North Kingstown, RI.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent OR 2+ years of related technical experience
• Available to work all shifts
• Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in extreme temperature conditions as required
• Individuals are required to possess their own basic hand tools

Preferred Qualifications

• Sheetmetal/metal fabrication experience and/or relevant training
• Experience working in the construction industry or a manufacturing environment
• Vocational, Technical, or Community College education or Apprentice programs
• Military/Navy experience
• Automotive/auto body or HVAC experience
