Responsibilities
- Use of material handling equipment such as forklifts, roll clamps and pallet jacks
- Use of the paper sheeter and supporting equipment requiring knowledge of electrical and mechanical basics
- Entry of production detail into the AS400 computer system
- Participate in safety initiatives and maintain a safe working environment
- Thread in paper, remove wrinkles, de-curl sheets, set size and square, and ensure proper overlap and jog of the finished product
- Run a machine that cuts rolls of paper to specific sizes and stack these sheets on a skid for final cutting
- Maintain a clean work environment, following all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Interact with all Case Paper staff and outside mill and vendor service partners
- Act professionally and ethically as an employee of Case Paper
- Cooperate with managers and supervisors to use process controls and lean principles that improve total operational effectiveness
- Support the training program within Case Paper to bolster cooperation and cross-training across the operation
- Perform any other machine operation and process monitoring or data collection that the supervisor may ask
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- 2-3 years of relevant work experience in manufacturing operations and/or logistics
- The position involves lifting, kneeling, and other types of physical labor
- Ability to shift between a variety of tasks as needed - prioritizing workload
- Problem-solving skills and experience collaborating and communicating with others - TEAMWORK!
