Sheet Metal Worker - 1st Shift
About the role
This highly motivated individual, as part of the Elvari Fabrication department, will be responsible for set-up and operation of complex fabricating machines and equipment. This position will maintain tolerances as specified on blueprints and follow routing sequences. Operates and edits programs for CNC equipment and verify with blueprints and routings.
Responsibilities
- Learn to set up and operate CNC brake presses, punch presses and/or Lasers to produce sheet metal components according to precise specifications.
- Perform simple machine adjustments as directed to maintain part accuracy.
- Monitor equipment during operation and report any issues to the supervisor promptly.
- Learn to read and follow basic work instructions and simple blueprints.
- Conduct basic visual inspections of parts for obvious defects.
- Notify team lead or supervisor of any quality concerns.
- Follow daily work assignments and maintain accurate job status updates as instructed.
- Use basic hand tools and department-specific equipment safely and correctly.
- Support continuous improvement by suggesting simple ideas to improve workflow.
- Work collaboratively with all team members across departments to meet production goals.
- Participate in on-the-job training to develop machine operation skills.
- Assist experienced operators as needed and learn standard safety practices.
- Helps support other department functions as needed.
- Assume responsibility for other projects and duties as assigned by Manufacturing Supervisor or Company management.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to prevent hazards.
- Report unsafe conditions or practices immediately.
- Contribute to a positive and respectful work environment.

Requirements
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
- Understanding of and adherence to applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations, and safety practices and procedures, as applicable.
- Must successfully establish employment eligibility and satisfactorily complete background checks and required pre-employment testing as a condition of employment.
Qualifications
- 1+ years of sheet metal forming experience.
