Key Duties And Responsibilities
- Perform routine and non routine structural repairs in compliance with F.A.A. and industry standards.
- Troubleshoot and perform needed repairs to airframe as needed in compliance with FAA and aircraft manufacturer standards.
- Structural repair to airframes including sheet metal work, riveting, patching, fiberglass repair, corrosion preventative treatment, priming and painting.
- Install optional or added equipment to aircraft at customer’s request.
- Make required log book entry of repair and comply with all company and F.A.A. paperwork requirements in a neat and legible manner.
- Must be willing to work overtime and assignment to emergency call out duty.
- Read & interpret aircraft maintenance manuals and specifications to determine feasibility and method.
- Aid in cleaning and policing of work areas in the hangar shop.
- Facility maintenance and repairs as directed.
Qualifications
- At least 3-5 years experience working with sheet metal and structural repair on Aircraft, preferred.
- Knowledge of maintenance manuals and FAR’s.
- Knowledge of sheet metal and some composites.
- Ability to perform error free work with ability to meet/exceed deadlines and time accountability requirements.
- Excellent Organizational, Customer Service, Training, and Communication Skills.
- Outstanding team building ability.
- Professional in appearance and mannerisms.
- Able to develop a friendly rapport.
- Sincere desire to assist customers.
