SHEET METAL & STRUCTURES TECHNICIAN

Position Summary

Cutter Aviation is seeking an experienced Sheet Metal/Structural Technician to join their Maintenance team. The ideal candidate will provide top-notch customer service and perform routine and unscheduled repairs on aircraft.

Key Duties And Responsibilities

• Perform routine and non-routine structural repairs in compliance with FAA and industry standards.
• Troubleshoot and perform necessary repairs to airframes as needed in compliance with FAA and aircraft manufacturer standards.
• Carry out structural repairs including sheet metal work, riveting, patching, fiberglass repair, corrosion preventative treatment, priming, and painting.
• Install optional or additional equipment to aircraft as requested by customers.
• Make required logbook entries of repairs and adhere to all company and FAA paperwork requirements.
• Read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals and specifications to determine feasibility and methods of repairs.
• Aid in cleaning and polishing of work areas in the hangar shop.
• Perform facility maintenance and repairs as directed.

Qualifications

• At least 3-5 years of experience working with sheet metal and structural repairs on aircraft, preferred.
• Knowledge of maintenance manuals and FARs.
• Experience with sheet metal and some composites.
• Ability to perform accurate work, meet deadlines, and maintain time accountability.
• Excellent organizational, customer service, training, and communication skills.
• Outstanding teamwork abilities.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Able to develop a positive rapport with customers.
• Sincere desire to assist customers.

• Pass a drug screening test.
• Pass a background check.
• Have a clean driving record.

Salary Description

$42-$46/hr, DOE
