Sheet Metal Foreman (NO HVAC)

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of sheet metal workers and helpers.
• Provide training and mentorship to team members.
• Plan, schedule, and monitor sheet metal work to ensure timely completion of projects.
• Collaborate with project managers and clients to meet project goals.
• Inspect work to ensure compliance with specifications, building codes, and safety regulations.
• Implement quality assurance measures.
• Oversee the fabrication, assembly, and installation of sheet metal components, including ducts, flashing, and custom sheet metal items.
• Address and resolve issues that arise during the fabrication and installation processes.
• Make recommendations for improvements.
• Enforce safety protocols and ensure that all team members follow safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
• Create daily timesheets for your crew and maintain accurate records of work performed, including daily reports, material an equipment usage, and project progress reports.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience in sheet metal work, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Proficient in reading blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong knowledge of sheet metal tools and equipment.
• Relevant certifications in sheet metal work, safety training, or project management are preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively lead a team and interact with clients and stakeholders.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work in various environmental conditions.
