Sheet Metal Fabrication Technician/Operator -1st Shift

Flexible schedule: work 8- or 10-hour days starting between 5:00 am and 6:00 am in our climate-controlled factory in Waunakee, WI.

About the role

Join a world-class team in precision sheet-metal production. You’ll operate cutting-edge equipment—lasers, punches, press brakes, panel benders, and robotic systems—to craft high-quality components for high-performance Energy Recovery Ventilation (ERV) systems used in hospitals, schools, and commercial buildings nationwide.

Schedule

  • Four 10-hour days: Monday–Thursday
  • Five 8-hour days: Monday–Friday
  • Start time flexible between 5:00 am and 6:00 am

Responsibilities

  • Operate metal-fabrication equipment (laser, punch, press brake, panel bender, robotic systems)
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
  • Perform basic computer and math tasks related to production
  • Lift 30 lbs frequently and 50 lbs occasionally

Requirements

  • Minimum 3–5 years operating metal-fabrication equipment (laser, punch, press brake, etc.; Press and Trumpf preferred)
  • 1+ years of manufacturing experience
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
  • Basic computer and math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide, read measurements in inches and feet)
  • Frequently lift up to 30 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs
  • Strong communication, proactivity, adaptability, and teamwork

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year experience operating sheet-metal equipment (laser, punch, panel bender, press brake preferred)
  • 1+ years of relevant manufacturing experience
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and manufacturing instructions
