Sheet Metal Designer - CAD / VDC

About the role

The role is responsible for designing and developing sheet metal components using advanced CAD software. The ideal candidate will also be involved in VDC (Virtual Design and Construction) processes to ensure design accuracy and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Design sheet metal components using CAD software
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design integration and manufacturability
• Participate in VDC meetings to review and validate designs
• Ensure designs meet project specifications and industry standards

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Minimum 2 years of experience in sheet metal design
• Familiarity with CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD
• Experience with VDC tools and processes
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail skills

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Pay

Salary range: $50,000 - $70,000 annually
