SHE Engineer
About the role
Your role as a SHE Engineer is to play a pivotal role in advancing Atlas Copco’s commitment to safety, health, and environmental excellence. You will assist in maintaining and continuously improving ISO 14001 and 45001 management systems, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and standards. You will also champion sustainability projects, develop and implement SHE policies, and lead investigations related to accidents or near misses.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and continuously improve ISO 14001 and 45001 management systems
- Ensure adherence to safety, health, and environmental regulations
- Promote a culture of safety awareness throughout the organization
- Develop, implement, and regularly review SHE policies, training content, and programs
- Lead and manage investigations relating to accidents or near misses
Requirements
- A strong foundation in emergency preparedness and recovery planning
- Experience implementing facility emergency response systems efficiently
- A comprehensive understanding of safety and environmental regulations in the U.S., including MIOSHA and OSHA standards
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with 3-5 years of hands-on experience in EHS roles within a manufacturing environment
- Relevant professional certifications such as CSP, CHMM, or ASP are highly regarded
Skills
- Strong foundation in emergency preparedness and recovery planning
- Experience implementing facility emergency response systems efficiently
- Comprehensive understanding of safety and environmental regulations in the U.S., including MIOSHA and OSHA standards

Pay
The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $90,000 annually.
