About the role
Your role As a SHE Coordinator, Your Main Responsibilities Include Organizes a plan and conducts training necessary for proper onboarding of an employee to account for HR, LMS, Administrative and SHE induction. Supports Operations where needed to achieve and maintain ISO certifications with regards to training, Safety and Environment. Manages and monitors LMS administrative functions (Ex. Adding/removing and updating training). Acts as point person for all seminars, workshops, individual training sessions, and lectures. Implements effective training curriculums that align to career paths through the direction of SHE and HR. Conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance with company and regulatory procedures. Ensure that the EHS Management System set out in Risk Control Elements RCE00 through to RCE29 is effectively implemented. Ensure that the requirements of the company’s Health, Safety, and Environment Policy and Procedures are achieved in the areas that are under direct control including risk assessment, facility risk rating, accident investigating etc. Ensure Chemical Handling and Hazardous Waste programs are in compliance with company and regulatory requirements. Obtain and maintain ISO Triple Certification (9001/14001/45001) for the NACC and NADC Sanborn facility.

Requirements

Education level High school diploma (required); Associate’s Degree in Business, Safety, Environment or related study preferred. Relevant Previous experience 1-2 years experience in a safety role with Industrial equipment manufacturing organization. Knowledge areas/Skills Possess proven track record of improved safety performance. Other Requirements Enthusiastic and positive promoter of Edwards Vacuum as a company, its employees and its objectives including all Safety, Health, Environmental, and Security related programs. Fosters a professional working relationship through all levels of the North American business divisions. Experienced with communicating and implementing training plans. Willingness to keep abreast of new techniques in corporate training. Excellent communication, presentation and public speaking skills. Organizational and time management abilities. Understanding of effective teaching methodologies and tools to allow students to prove proficient in the skills they have learned. Completion of a Trainer Certification program a plus but not required. Experience with structured root cause analysis and problem solving methodologies (A3, 8D, 5Y etc) preferred. ISO 14001 Internal Auditor certification a plus but not required.
