About the role

Young Life is a relational ministry dedicated to sharing the gospel through camps and other programs. The role involves providing spiritual formation, building healthy relationships, and managing resources effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Spiritual Formation: Grow in faith and develop a personal spiritual growth plan.
  • Interpersonal Relationships: Foster relationships with guests, staff, vendors, and neighbors, and develop relationships with summer assigned staff and school season group leaders.
  • Attentive Hospitality: Anticipate and respond to guest needs through service, and communicate guest needs to the team.
  • Comprehensive Stewardship: Manage finances, people, buildings, and equipment, and support a safe environment.
  • Talent Development: Identify and encourage future staff, and engage in continuous learning and development.
  • Embracing Excellence: Ensure daily operations meet national standards and strive for excellence in various areas of camp operations.

Requirements

  • Demonstrate understanding of Young Life ministry, strategy, and mission.
  • Show spiritual maturity and self-starting abilities.
  • Have organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Communicate warmth, hospitality, and concern for guests, vendors, and staff.
  • Be physically capable of performing duties of a Challenge Course Operator.

Qualifications and Experience

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent life experience.
  • Understanding of Young Life ministry, strategy, and mission.
  • Self-starter with initiative.
  • Organized and able to manage time.
  • Effective communicator with a sense of hospitality.
  • Physical ability to perform duties of a Challenge Course Operator.

Pay

The anticipated salary for this position ranges from $30,600 to $38,300, depending on relevant education, experience, and location.

Schedule

Housekeeping duties are performed weekdays, with rotation through weekend days. Shifts may vary based on departmental needs.
