Requirements

• 6 months tractor/trailer driving experience (must be listed on application or resume)
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• No DUI/DWI convictions within the last 12 months

Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY: PBXS PBX Shag Driver 0003 - Storm Lake DC

Schedule/Hours: 7pm-4am

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Makes sure every trailer has a nose stand and is properly chocked
• Responsible for Product Protection which includes monitoring temperatures, fuel levels, and proper running of the refrigeration units
• Maintains the integrity of the seal on finished loads while on Tyson property
• Ensures all trailers for outbound loads are thoroughly washed and sanitized before loading
• Maintains good traffic flow of outside drivers while on Tyson property
• Pre-trip inspections on the Shag trucks and reports any defects to supervisor for repair
• Maintains cleanliness of the Shag trucks on a daily basis
• Ensures adherence to PBX (part of Tyson Foods, Inc.) Shag Procedures and Training
• Ensures safety while operating a Shag truck is top priority
• Communicates effectively to ensure safety, efficiency, and coordination in the yard
• Wears all proper safety equipment and is willing to work overtime and weekends, if required
