Location: Millwood Elementary School

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (Required)
• Associate's Degree or 60 college credit hours from an accredited college or university (Preferred)
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience working in a public school setting is highly desired
• Capable of physically assisting students with special needs as required (e.g., positioning, lifting, transferring, changing needs)

Responsibilities

• Maintain and oversee a positive learning environment under the direction of the classroom teacher
• Assist the teacher in implementing appropriate daily learning experiences aligned with approved practices for the grade level and instructional mission of the school and district
• Collaborate with the teacher on curricular planning, classroom environment issues, and instructional practices
• Provide unique and/or special accommodations required for students
• Help promote a safe, secure, and healthy learning environment
• Work with individual students or small groups for behavior or academic issues
• Work cooperatively and respectfully with others
• Perform all other duties as assigned

Pay

$11.66 – $18.65 per hour ($16,178 – $25,876 annually)

Schedule

185 days per year
