You will enjoy doing

  • Work collaboratively with site management and regional safety leadership to achieve zero-incident performance goals across distribution operations and site activities
  • Provide direct support to the existing site Safety Specialist while taking ownership of distribution safety performance and training initiatives
  • Cultivate strong partnerships with drivers, employees, and contractors, fostering a proactive and deeply rooted safety culture across all distribution-related functions
  • Onboard and train new drivers and employees, as well as deliver consistent, high-quality ongoing safety training to ensure sustained compliance and performance
  • Identify opportunities to improve safety trends by analyzing performance data, driver behavior, and field observations
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions with urgency, particularly in areas impacting transportation safety and operational risk
  • Support the development and execution of safety plans for distribution activities and major maintenance events, ensuring safe, compliant, and controlled operations
  • Provide structured support for incident investigations, including Root Cause Analysis (RCA), reporting, and corrective action follow-through to drive long-term improvement—especially in transportation and low-speed vehicle incidents
  • Regularly review and manage compliance systems to ensure all required safety, environmental, and transportation-related tasks are completed, this includes supporting distribution-focused training, driver observations, ride-alongs, performance evaluations, and site inspections
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements
  • Facilitate training programs, conduct safety meetings, deliver engaging presentations, and provide technical expertise in Process Safety Management (PSM) and Risk Management Program (RMP), while maintaining a strong field presence and engaging directly with drivers and operations personnel to uphold risk mitigation and operational excellence

What Makes You Great

  • A safety-focused professional with a bachelor’s degree in safety, or distribution or a related field, or equivalent experience demonstrating strong technical and regulatory capability
  • Three to five years of experience in safety, operations, or distribution within an industrial environment, demonstrating confidence in both independent and team-based work
  • Proven experience with Occupational Safety and Health Administration, Environmental Protection Agency, and Department of Transportation compliance programs including safety program development and regulatory reporting
  • Communicate clearly and confidently, using strong written and verbal skills to engage employees and management at every level
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, using these tools to prepare documentation, analyze data, and deliver impactful presentations
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: safety certifications such as Certified Safety Professional, expertise in DOT related activities FMCSA knowledge while upholding Linde’s commitment to safety, sustainability, and operational excellence
