Job Summary
We are seeking passionate individuals to teach English classes for refugees in Phoenix, AZ. The position involves creating connections, training, and sharing the hope of Jesus with refugee individuals and families.
About the role
English Class Leaders facilitate weekly classes, work with students from various countries, and ensure consistent classroom plans and structures. They also connect with students and volunteers and welcome new students.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain a welcoming environment for students and volunteers
- Facilitate English language classes using a computer-based learning approach
- Engage with students from diverse backgrounds
- Build relationships with students and volunteers
- Support fundraising efforts
Requirements
- An interest in teaching and connecting with students
- Experience in teaching or teaching ESL is beneficial but not required
- Ability to follow classroom plans and structures consistently
