About the role
The Sewer Plant Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the operation of the wastewater treatment plant processes and equipment to maintain a clean and healthy environment. This position reports directly to the Director of Public Works and works independently in developing work methods and sequences.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the operations of the wastewater treatment plant staff.
- Ensure compliance with all environmental regulations and standards.
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of plant equipment and facilities.
- Monitor and adjust plant processes to optimize efficiency and performance.
- Develop and implement safety protocols to protect workers and the environment.
- Collaborate with other departments to address issues related to water quality and infrastructure.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in wastewater treatment plant operations and management.
- Valid Georgia Driver’s License.
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and equipment.
- Experience with environmental compliance and regulatory requirements.
Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Pay
$X per hour, depending on experience.
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, with some evening and weekend work required.
