Sewer Plant Supervisor

About the role

The Sewer Plant Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the operation of the wastewater treatment plant processes and equipment to maintain a clean and healthy environment. This position reports directly to the Director of Public Works and works independently to develop and implement operational strategies.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage the daily operations of the wastewater treatment plant
• Ensure compliance with all environmental regulations and standards
• Oversee maintenance and repair of plant equipment and facilities
• Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
• Collaborate with other departments to address water quality issues
• Train and mentor staff members

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in wastewater treatment plant operations
• Valid Georgia driver’s license
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
