Setup Tech
About the role
The Setup Technician plays a crucial role in achieving On Time in Full Deliveries and maintaining high levels of product quality. They are responsible for setting up units, knocking down buildings, performing service work, and completing various tasks as directed.
Responsibilities
- Perform duties essential to setting up units, including anchoring, block and leveling, interior and exterior seaming, VAPS installation, steps, canopies, and ramps.
- Complete duties essential to the knock-down of buildings, such as building shipping walls, securing exterior walls, separating buildings, disconnecting utility and mate-line crossovers, securing all items for shipment, cleaning the site, and removing all installations from the site.
- Perform service work for customer units on the road, including electrical and plumbing work.
- Perform customer modifications.
- Complete Work Orders and Service Orders via the Field Service Application.
- Maintain the proper working condition of all tools and equipment used.
- May be assigned all duties pertaining to Branch Service Tech or Field Service Tech as business dictates.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Carpentry skills and familiarity with construction trades.
- Set-up and knockdown experience preferred.
- Some experience with customer relationship management.
- Previous management experience or working with other trades.
- Some knowledge of computers.
- Good communication skills for dealing with customers, sales people, contractors, shop personnel, and co-workers.
- A current valid license and a good driving record.
Qualifications
