About the role
Fulcrum Technologies, Inc. is a world-class leader in designing and manufacturing custom machine bases for vibration-sensitive production tools used in semiconductor fabrication. We are seeking a skilled Machinist to support precision machining operations in a high-quality manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC and manual machines, including mills and lathes, to produce precision components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and GD&T specifications with moderate complexity.
- Run existing CNC programs and make minor edits or offsets as required.
- Select appropriate tooling and cutting parameters with guidance from senior machinists.
- Inspect parts using precision measuring tools to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Assist with troubleshooting machining issues related to setup, tooling, and machine operation.
- Work closely with engineering and production teams to meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Document job setups and machining processes to support repeatability.
Qualifications
- 3–7 years of experience in precision machining, including CNC and/or manual machine operation.
- Working knowledge of CNC machining principles and basic G-code programming or editing.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T.
- Familiarity with tooling selection, cutting parameters, and standard fixturing methods.
- Proficiency with common precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, indicators, height gauges).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in a manufacturing or job shop environment.
- Technical certificate or associate’s degree in machining or manufacturing technology preferred.
Work Environment
This is a physically demanding role involving regular bending, stooping, crawling, and standing on a concrete shop floor. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required on the shop floor (all PPE provided).
The position operates in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Pay
The pay range for this role is: 30.00 - 40.00 USD per hour (Tualatin HQ)
