Set Up Technician/Operator - 3rd Shift

Responsibilities

• Perform duties in accordance with safety guidelines and lean principles.
• Program, set up, and operate numeric control or computer numeric control machines for turning, drilling, reaming, tapping, milling, boring, welding, and other machining operations.
• Load/unload equipment, gather materials/components, position work area, and set parameters.
• Utilize various hand tools, specialty tools, and measuring equipment to complete assigned tasks.
• Facilitate Kanban inventory system accuracy.
• Edit and modify numeric control programs.
• Determine operation sequence, select and adjust tools.
• Inspect parts using gauges/measuring devices and review blueprints/diagrams to ensure components meet specifications.
• Complete various types of paperwork related to production reporting.
• Maintain work areas by cleaning and organizing.
• Deal ethically with Parker’s customers, suppliers, fellow associates, and the general public.
• Participate in company-sponsored training programs.
• Complete additional duties and projects as assigned.

Who We Are Looking For

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Basic computer skills.
• Basic math skills.
• Understanding of gauging/measuring devices.
• Blueprint understanding (geometric tolerancing).
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and organize work/priorities.
• Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player.
• 3+ years of previous machining experience (preferred).
• Understanding of G-Code programming (preferred).

• The starting rate for this position is $27.46/hour and goes up to $31.70/hour.
• This position has a $1.00/hour shift premium.
