Set-Up Technician

About the role

Weingartz - Utica, MI is seeking a full-time Equipment Technician to join our team. This position involves picking and preparing the right equipment based on sales orders, unpacking, assembling, and ensuring equipment is working safely and correctly. The technician will also assist with inventory checks and maintaining a clean, organized workspace.

Responsibilities

• Pick and prepare the right equipment based on sales orders
• Unpack, assemble, and ensure equipment is working safely and correctly
• Show customers how to use the equipment in a clear and professional manner
• Work closely with the Sales team to enhance customer experience
• Keep workspaces, tools, and storage areas clean, organized, and safe
• Help out with inventory checks and tracking equipment
• Maintain a positive, team-friendly attitude when working with customers and coworkers

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a mechanical or equipment repair position
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow manufacturer equipment manuals and technical documentation
• Proficiency with standard desktop software, including Microsoft Office applications
• Effective prioritization and management of tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail, including accuracy when working with numbers
• Basic math skills required
• A valid chauffeur's license is preferred but not required

• Must have a valid driver's license

Pay

$16 - $19/hr

Schedule

Full-Time Position Open Retail Hours: Monday- Friday (8:00 am - 6:00 pm or 7:00 pm) and Saturday (9:00 am - 4:00 pm)
