Set Up Operator
Responsibilities
- Gather, bundle and stack fiberboard partitions and check glue.
- Check the quality of products.
- Empty trash barrels in dumpsters and empty scrap buggies onto the shredder.
- Trash barrels weigh up to 70 lbs.
- Make gum bands and repair small parts and other general clean-up as required.
- Gather strips from conveyor and fill hoppers and keep them filled properly.
- Gather partitions at the end or side of conveyor, pick up bundles and strap and palletize.
- If on a conveyor, bundles will be stacked by hopper feeder.
- Remove bundles from the conveyor at the stacking area and place on pallets.
- Bundles weigh approximately 8-40 lbs.
- Operates shredder.
- Keep the area clean and orderly to remain a safe area.
Requirements
- Able to count accurately.
- Able to learn quickly and adapt to change.
- Work well in a team environment.
- Use various tools including a broom, utility knife, bundler machines, turntable, tape gun, scrap buggies, shredders, air hose and trash barrels.
- Demonstrate knowledge of or ability to learn safety rules and procedures, and operating policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with others.
- Maintain good attendance and be reliable and dependable.
- MUST BE PROFICIENT WITH USING A RULER/TAPE MEASURE
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who can operate safely and efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate should have a strong attention to detail and be able to follow instructions closely. Experience with similar roles is preferred but not required. This position requires a high level of physical stamina and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Skills
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are essential. Proficiency with basic hand tools and the ability to follow safety protocols are also important.

Pay
The wage is $24.11 per hour plus a $0.75 shift premium for 2nd shift.
Schedule
Shift: 2nd - 3:30pm - 12:00am Monday-Friday. Overtime and Saturdays may be required.
