About the role

As a Set-Up CNC Technician at Honeywell, you will set up and operate CNC machines to produce precision parts and components. You will ensure that all parts meet quality standards and specifications and work closely with the production team to optimize processes and improve efficiency. Your expertise in CNC machining will help drive continuous improvement and operational excellence within our manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

  • Set-up, operate, and troubleshoot a variety of CNC/ASM machines performing operations such as boring, reaming, turning, milling, drilling, tapping, etc.
  • Perform specified quality checks on piece parts, trial run, and experimental parts using standard and special measuring devices to maintain quality.
  • Perform set-up teardown work as directed by the Group Leader.
  • Assist in analyzing and planning the workload for group operations, following up on instructions, performance, and quality.
  • Assist the Group Leader in maintaining supply levels, ordering new supplies and tools as required, and completing necessary shop orders and records.

Equipment & Environment

  • Typical Machines/Equipment Used: CNC/ASM Milling machines, CNC/ASM Turning machines, related machine tooling (cutters, drills, boring bars), Anorad machines, drills, tappers, mills, turning, and precision measuring instruments.
  • Working Environment: Work cell environment in a machine shop. Requires dexterity to set up and operate CNC/ASM equipment, exposure to coolant and oil materials, and average to heavy lifting.
  • Chemicals Used: Chlorethene, water-soluble oils, standard cutting oils, and cleaning solvents.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in CNC machining and assembly.
  • Proven ability to set up and operate CNC machines.
  • Ability to support 2nd shift and mandated overtime.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Manufacturing Technology or a related field (valued but not required).
  • Experience with precision machining and quality control.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Pay

The hourly pay range for this position is $36.49. Compensation is determined by factors including the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education, training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
