Set-Up Arrangement Staff (PT) - The Hotel Hershey

About the role

The Hotel Hershey is a luxury resort known for its refined elegance, signature services, and abundant amenities. Situated atop the town of Hershey, the 1930's hotel is a Historic Hotel of America and a AAA Four-Diamond Award winner. This is a part-time, year-round position focused on setting up and taking down function arrangements.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to and complete a daily checklist.
• Set up and take down function rooms in a timely and accurate manner, including moving tables, chairs, meeting equipment, and other necessary items.
• Deliver boxes to meeting rooms.
• Maintain cleanliness by vacuuming carpets, dusting chair rails, cleaning chandeliers, and filing maintenance requests when necessary.
• Set up outdoor functions, such as poolside buffets, events on the front veranda, and wedding ceremonies.
• Set up exhibit tables.
• Maintain neat and clean storerooms and transport equipment to the engineering department for repairs.
• Collaborate with other departments and divisions to meet business needs.

Requirements

• Minimum age of 18 years.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Participation in the post-offer employment testing program.

Qualifications

• Guest-oriented attitude and ability to work well with others.
• Well-groomed appearance.
• Ability to read written instructions.

Job Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to:

• Constant (67% - 100% of time): Carry (0-10 lbs), Walk, Balance, Feel.
• Frequent (34% - 66% of time): Lift (0-50 lbs), Carry (11-35 lbs), Reach Forward, Object Handling, Hand Grasp (Simple and Firm).
• Occasional (1% - 33% of time): Lift (51-75 lbs), Carry (36-50 lbs), Push (0-75 lbs), Pull (0-50 lbs), Stand, Climb Stairs, Reach Overhead, Stoop, Kneel, Crouch, Finger, Operating Controls.

Proper footwear must be provided by the employee.

Schedule

The working schedule may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on operational needs. Specific shifts are as follows:

• 1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Mid Shift: 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM
• 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
• 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM

This is a union position, and the work schedule will be based on union seniority. Candidates must be available for evening and weekend hours as required by business volumes.
