About the role

This course introduces students to the basic principles of working with materials to produce three-dimensional and installation-based artworks. This hands-on project-based course includes individual and group critiques, seminars with relevant readings and critical viewing of contemporary installation artworks. Some limited management of studio is required.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation and delivery of course material
  • Managing digital teaching materials
  • Supervision of teaching assistants
  • Preparation and delivery of assignments, tests, final examinations and deferred final examinations
  • Marking of student work
  • Submission of grades
  • Dealing with student enquiries, appeals and petitions
  • Student contact hours

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications - MA or MFA (or equivalent graduate degree) required with previous teaching experience. Strong exhibition history and currently exhibiting artist showing sculpture and/or installation-based art. Applicants may be asked to supply references.

Internationally recognized practice.
