University of Toronto - Woodsworth College · Greater St. George Area · 1 mo ago
Full-time
We need to output HTML fragment with sections: headings

for sections like About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. Only include sections that have real specific content. We need to parse the posting. Key info: - Job title: Sessional Lecturer: CHL3007H Resource Allocation Ethics (but we do not repeat as heading). - Date posted, Req ID, etc: minor metadata, can be folded into short

or dropped. - Course description: description of course, learning objectives, schedule, etc. - Estimated course enrolment: 15 - Estimated TA support: n/a (skip as placeholder) - Class Schedule: In-Person: MHSc Residency Week – January 22 (8:30am-5:00pm); Online: Seminar Sessions – Tuesday, 9-11:30 am on Jan 12, Feb 2 & 23, March 9 & 23 and April 6; Online: Asynchronous Session – 2hrs TBD; Sessional dates: January to April 2027 - Salary: list of rates. - Minimum Qualifications: Graduate degree in Bioethics or a related discipline. Advanced theoretical and practical knowledge of resource allocation, including ethical, legal, regulatory, and professional aspects in the Canadian context. Experience teaching bioethics courses at the graduate level required. - Preferred Qualifications: Experience teaching health professional learners an asset. Professional experience working in healthcare settings with respect to resource allocation issues strongly preferred. - Description of duties: All normal duties related to teaching of a university credit course, including preparation and delivery of course content; development, administration and marking of assignments; calculation and submission of grades; maintaining regular communication with students. As well as normal teaching duties, the course instructor will monitor student progress; maintain the course Quercus page; attend MHSc program meetings; and maintain regular contact with the MHSc Program Director. Duties of this position shall be performed in accordance with the hybrid course format, including both in-person and online components as outlined in the Schedule above. - Application Process: details (but we should remove application instructions). The instruction says: remove application instructions. So we should not include Application Process section. - Diversity Statement, Accessibility Statement: these are boilerplate EEO etc, should be removed. - Job Segment etc: remove. Thus we need sections: About the role (maybe course description), Responsibilities (duties), Requirements (minimum qualifications), Qualifications (preferred qualifications), Pay (salary), Schedule (class schedule). Possibly also Benefits? Not mentioned. So we omit Benefits. We need to use

for each section heading. Use
  • for any list of duties/requirements/benefits. Use

for prose. We must preserve all substantive information, not invent or summarize away detail. So we need to include all details from course description, learning objectives, schedule, salary, qualifications, duties. We must not repeat job title as heading. Not include Job ID etc as headings; we can put them in a short

maybe but we could drop them. The instruction: "do NOT put Job ID / requisition numbers as headings — fold minor metadata into a short

or drop it." So we could include a short

with date posted etc, but it's optional. Probably better to include a short

with date posted and maybe campus. But we need to preserve ALL substantive information; date posted is not substantive? It's metadata but maybe minor. The instruction says we can fold minor metadata into a short

or drop it. So we can drop it. Safer to drop it to avoid extra content. But we need to preserve substantive info like course description, schedule, salary, qualifications, duties. So we will not include date posted etc. Thus output:

    About the role

CHL3007H is a 0.5 FCE elective course designed for the Master of Health Sciences (MHSc) in Bioethics program and also open to the Health Technology Assessment area of study of the Health Systems Research program, IHPME. The MHSc in Bioethics is a two-year professional Master’s degree program. Its students are early and mid-career professionals who work in healthcare, public health or other health-related settings. The MHSc in Bioethics has a hybrid program format with both in-person and online components. CHL 3007H is a hybrid course with the in-person component conducted during a Residency Week in January at the University of Toronto on the St. George Campus and the online component conducted during eight 2.5-hr synchronous online seminar sessions scheduled through the Winter Term (see Schedule below). CHL3007H introduces students to key topics in health priority setting (resource allocation) from both theoretical and practical viewpoints. The goal is for students to develop an understanding of key concepts, issues, and approaches related to priority setting in health systems and institutions from an interdisciplinary ethics perspective. Case studies will be a constitutive component of each session, some of which will be contributed by the co-instructors and guest faculty and many of which we hope and anticipate will be contributed by students through class discussion based on their professional, disciplinary, and personal experiences and expertise. CHL3007H has a hybrid format with both in-person and online components. The in-person component is conducted as a workshop on the UofT campus during the MHSc in Bioethics Residency Week and the online component is conducted synchronously during six seminar sessions throughout the term. Course Learning Objectives: by the end of the course, students will be able to: Describe and distinguish different theories of justice related to priority setting and resource allocation in health institutions and systems; Examine priority setting/resource allocation problems from both theoretical and practical viewpoints; Appreciate the contributions and interactions of interdisciplinary methods in analyzing priority setting/resource allocation problems; Apply ethical reasoning to address priority setting/resource allocation problems in practice. Estimated course enrolment: 15.

But we need to separate maybe learning objectives as list? Could be prose. It's fine. Next section: Responsibilities (duties). Use
    • for list. Duties: "All normal duties related to teaching of a university credit course, including preparation and delivery of course content; development, administration and marking of assignments; calculation and submission of grades; maintaining regular communication with students. As well as normal teaching duties, the course instructor will monitor student progress; maintain the course Quercus page; attend MHSc program meetings; and maintain regular contact with the MHSc Program Director. Duties of this position shall be performed in accordance with the hybrid course format, including both in-person and online components as outlined in the Schedule above." We can break into list items: maybe each clause. But we need to preserve all detail; we can create list items for each duty. Let's parse: - Preparation and delivery of course content - Development, administration and marking of assignments - Calculation and submission of grades - Maintaining regular communication with students - Monitor student progress - Maintain the course Quercus page - Attend MHSc program meetings - Maintain regular contact with the MHSc Program Director - Perform duties in accordance with the hybrid course format (both in-person and online components as outlined in the Schedule) We'll put each as
    • . Next: Requirements (minimum qualifications). Use
      • . - Graduate degree in Bioethics or a related discipline. - Advanced theoretical and practical knowledge of resource allocation, including ethical, legal, regulatory, and professional aspects in the Canadian context. - Experience teaching bioethics courses at the graduate level required. Next: Qualifications (preferred qualifications). Use
        • . - Experience teaching health professional learners an asset. - Professional experience working in healthcare settings with respect to resource allocation issues strongly preferred. Next: Pay (salary). Use

maybe list? It's a list of rates. Could be

          • but it's not duties/requirements/benefits; but we can still use

with the salary details. The instruction: Use

            • for any list of duties/requirements/benefits, and

for prose. Salary is not duties/requirements/benefits, but it's a list of rates. Could be

              . We'll output

with the salary details. Salary: "$9,997.47 (Sessional Lecturer I) $10,699.21 (Sessional Lecturer I Long Term) $10,699.21 (Sessional Lecturer II) $10,953.96 (Sessional Lecturer II Long Term) $10,953.96 (Sessional Lecturer III) $11,228.90 (Sessional Lecturer III Long Term) (Salary inclusive of 4% or 6% vacation pay, where applicable) Please note that should rates stipulated in the Collective Agreement vary from rates stated in this posting, the rates stated in the collective agreement shall prevail." We'll keep that as prose. Next: Schedule (class schedule). Use

              • maybe? It's a schedule. Could be

but we have list of items. The instruction: Use

                • for any list of duties/requirements/benefits. Schedule is not explicitly those categories, but it's a list. Safer to use

with schedule details. But we could also use

                  • as it's a list. The instruction says "any list of duties/requirements/benefits". It doesn't forbid using
                    • for other lists, but it's safer to follow: only those categories get
                      • . However schedule is not duties/requirements/benefits, but it's a list. The instruction doesn't explicitly forbid using
                        • for other lists, but says "Use
                          • for any list of duties/requirements/benefits". It doesn't say you cannot use for other lists, but to be safe we can use

with the schedule details separated by semicolons. We'll output

with schedule: In-Person: MHSc Residency Week – January 22 (8:30am-5:00pm); Online: Seminar Sessions – Tuesday, 9-11:30 am on Jan 12, Feb 2 & 23, March 9 & 23 and April 6; Online: Asynchronous Session – 2hrs TBD; Sessional dates: January to April 2027. We need to ensure we don't include placeholder like "TBD" is actual content (they said TBD). It's okay to include as it's actual. Now we need to output only HTML fragment, no /, no markdown. Thus final output:

                            About the role

                            ...

Make sure no extra sections like Benefits. Check that we didn't include any boilerplate. Now craft the content precisely. About the role paragraph: need to include all details from course description, learning objectives, estimated enrolment.
