Key Responsibilities
- Develop solution architecture diagrams, data models, interface designs, security models, and environment strategies.
- Define the ICM case taxonomy, lifecycle states, assignment logic, evidence/document handling, and role model.
- Determine when to use out-of-box capabilities, configuration, scoped applications, or approved extensions.
- Design REST/SOAP integrations and data exchanges with NSF grant-management and enterprise systems.
- Define logging, audit, reporting, retention, and monitoring approaches.
- Lead architecture reviews and resolve cross-cutting technical issues.
- Guide release, update-set/source-control, CI/CD, and production deployment practices.
- Support security authorization, performance testing, disaster recovery, and operational transition planning.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer information systems, electrical engineering, math, or equivalent technical studies (required).
- 10+ years of professional experience, with at least 3 years in an Agile environment.
- Expert knowledge of ServiceNow platform architecture and ICM or comparable case-management solutions.
- Deep experience with App Engine, Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, Workspace/UI Builder, ACLs, ATF, and reporting.
- Strong understanding of scoped application design, data modeling, upgrade-safe configuration, and platform governance.
- Experience designing federal integrations using REST, SOAP, OAuth, MID Server, and secure data-transfer patterns.
- Knowledge of NIST RMF, FedRAMP, audit logging, encryption, records management, and least privilege.
- Ability to evaluate technical tradeoffs and communicate architecture decisions to technical and executive audiences.
- Experience leading code/design reviews and mentoring technical teams.
Desired Certifications
- ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect
- CSCA; CAD; CIS-ITSM or other relevant CIS credentials
- CISSP or cloud architecture certification
Additional Information
- Clearance: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
- Background checks may include Criminal History, Education Verification, Employment Verification, Certifications, and Credit History.
- (Public Trust investigations typically take 4–8 weeks and require fingerprinting).
Salary
$130,000 – $190,000 annually.

- Hybrid remote, with occasional on-site presence required to support client needs.
