ServiceNow Solutions Architect
About The Role
As a ServiceNow Solution Architect / Senior Solution Architect, you will lead the design and delivery of enterprise-scale ServiceNow solutions that solve complex business challenges while aligning with clients' technology strategies and architectural standards. You will collaborate with client stakeholders, executive leadership, process owners, developers, architects, and delivery teams to drive successful digital transformation initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of ServiceNow solutions across multiple product lines and business functions.
- Define platform, application, and integration architectures that align with business objectives and enterprise standards.
- Partner with executive stakeholders, process owners, and technical teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Provide guidance on platform governance, development standards, configuration versus customization decisions, and long-term platform sustainability.
- Evaluate, design, and recommend integration strategies, third-party solutions, and technology roadmaps that maximize business value while minimizing technical debt.
- Mentor and support technical teams, ensuring adherence to best practices, solution quality, and successful project delivery.
- Support opportunity scoping, solution estimation, and client advisory activities.
- For Senior Solution Architects, serve as a technical leader, mentor architects and developers, and act as the final escalation point for solution architecture decisions.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD).
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) – ITSM.
- Two additional ServiceNow CIS certifications in areas such as ITOM, ITAM, ITBM/SPM, CSM, FSM, SecOps, GRC, or HRSD.
- Minimum 3+ years of ServiceNow solution architecture experience and participation in multiple enterprise ServiceNow implementations.
- Strong experience designing scalable ServiceNow solutions, integrations, and platform architectures.
- Expertise with ServiceNow scripting, JavaScript, REST APIs, SOAP services, and modern web technologies.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments and applying architectural design patterns and best practices.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and explain technical concepts to business and executive audiences.
Qualifications
- For Senior Solution Architect Candidates, Additional Qualifications Include:
- 5+ years of consulting, service management, or software development experience.
- 4+ years of advanced ServiceNow platform experience across multiple product lines.
- Proven experience leading technical teams, mentoring architects and developers, and driving enterprise technology strategy.
- Experience with advanced ServiceNow capabilities such as ITOM, Discovery, Orchestration, SecOps, SPM/PPM, Agent Intelligence, or related solutions.
- ITIL certification or equivalent IT service management expertise.
- Knowledge of TOGAF, IT4IT, enterprise architecture frameworks, or cloud strategy methodologies.
- Experience leading large-scale digital transformation or ServiceNow modernization programs.
- Expertise in multiple ServiceNow product suites and cross-platform integrations.
- Strong organizational change management and governance experience.
- Proven ability to build trusted executive relationships and provide strategic technology advisory services.
- Experience interviewing, mentoring, and developing technical talent.
- Advanced presentation, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
Pay
The annual salary for this position will be in the range of $137K - $155K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
Schedule
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
