ServiceNow Engineer
About the role
We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Engineer / Developer with approximately 5 years of hands-on ServiceNow platform development and administration experience. The ideal candidate will design, develop, configure, and maintain ServiceNow solutions that improve IT and business service management processes. This role requires strong technical expertise, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and the ability to deliver scalable, maintainable solutions aligned with business requirements.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, configure, and customize ServiceNow applications and platform capabilities.
- Gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Configure and customize workflows, forms, UI policies, business rules, client scripts, UI actions, and notifications.
- Develop and maintain Flow Designer flows, Integration Hub integrations, and automation workflows.
- Create and maintain Script Includes, REST/SOAP integrations, scheduled jobs, and custom applications using ServiceNow best practices.
- Configure and maintain CMDB, Discovery, and Service Mapping (preferred).
- Support platform upgrades by analyzing impacts, remediating customizations, and performing regression testing.
- Troubleshoot platform issues, identify root causes, and implement sustainable solutions.
- Create technical documentation, including solution designs, configuration documentation, and knowledge articles.
- Ensure solutions follow ServiceNow development standards, governance, security, and platform best practices.
Requirements
The successful candidate will have:
- Strong technical expertise in ServiceNow platform development and administration.
- Experience designing, developing, and maintaining ServiceNow applications and platform capabilities.

- Experience developing and maintaining Flow Designer flows, Integration Hub integrations, and automation workflows.
- Experience creating and maintaining Script Includes, REST/SOAP integrations, scheduled jobs, and custom applications using ServiceNow best practices.
- Experience configuring and maintaining CMDB, Discovery, and Service Mapping (preferred).
- Experience supporting platform upgrades, troubleshooting platform issues, identifying root causes, and implementing sustainable solutions.
- Experience creating technical documentation, including solution designs, configuration documentation, and knowledge articles.
- Experience ensuring solutions follow ServiceNow development standards, governance, security, and platform best practices.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of hands-on ServiceNow platform development and administration experience.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams to deliver technical solutions.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as JavaScript, Python, or Groovy.
- Experience with version control systems like Git.
- Experience with ServiceNow best practices, governance, security, and platform standards.
Skills
The following skills are desirable but not required:
- Experience with ServiceNow Platform APIs.
- Experience with ServiceNow integration tools and technologies.
- Experience with ServiceNow performance tuning and optimization.
- Experience with ServiceNow security and compliance.
