About the role
We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Engineer to build and maintain solutions across ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, and custom scoped applications. The role focuses on hands-on configuration and development — including workflows, Flow Designer, scripting, integrations, UI customization, and platform extensions — while applying best practices that keep the platform clean, upgrade-safe, and performant.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy ServiceNow applications and integrations
- Implement workflows, Flow Designer processes, and automation
- Write and maintain Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Actions, and UI Policies
- Develop Service Portal widgets and UI customizations
- Integrate ServiceNow with external systems using REST, SOAP, and MID Servers
- Ensure platform performance, upgrade safety, and adherence to best practices
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex platform issues
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Five or more years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience
- Strong JavaScript skills including ES5/ES6 patterns used in ServiceNow
- Deep expertise with Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Actions, and UI Policies
- Experience with Flow Designer and IntegrationHub
- Hands-on integration experience using REST, SOAP, and MID Servers
- Strong understanding of the ServiceNow data model and CMDB concepts
- Experience with Service Portal widget development
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) credential
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)
- Certified Implementation Specialist credentials (ITSM, HR, CSM, ITOM)
- Experience with Now Assist or GenAI Controller
- Familiarity with App Engine Studio
- Exposure to multi-instance ServiceNow environments
