About the role
We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Developer to join our team for an initial 9-month engagement. In this position, you will implement, configure, and maintain the ServiceNow platform, drive business process automation, and deliver seamless IT services management solutions to improve efficiency across various business functions.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the full ServiceNow implementation lifecycle, including requirement gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, and deployment.
- Design and configure ServiceNow modules such as ITSM (IT Service Management), ITAM (IT Asset Management), and others based on business needs.
- Develop integrations between ServiceNow and other enterprise systems using REST, SOAP, and other relevant technologies.
- Implement workflows, business rules, and automation to streamline processes and improve user experience.
- Work closely with IT teams, business stakeholders, and other ServiceNow professionals to align solutions with organizational goals.
- Provide post-implementation support, troubleshooting, and maintenance of the ServiceNow platform.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for processes, configurations, and solutions.
- Ensure that best practices and ITIL frameworks are followed.
- Assist with upgrades, patches, and new releases to ensure platform stability and enhancement of functionality.
- Provide training and support to end users.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, math, engineering, information systems, or a related field.
- Six to nine years of relevant experience.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
- Proven problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Understanding of development operations (DevOps) and software security.
- Fluency in programming languages such as JavaScript, HTML 5, CSS, Glide scripting, and SQL.
- Training in software engineering, data structures, and algorithms.
Skills
- Proficiency with ServiceNow development, including scripting, workflows, and integrations.
- Proven ability to create ServiceNow Business Rules and UI Policies.
- Knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) implementation.
- Experience with Flow Designer and Service Portal.
- Demonstrated expertise in at least two ServiceNow modules (e.g., ITSM, ITAM, CSM).
- Expertise with REST/SOAP APIs.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a strong desire to deliver high-quality work products.
- Strong collaboration skills, including the ability to gather requirements from internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Qualifications
Preferred credentials include ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) and Certified Application Developer (CAD).
