Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the lead architect and strategic advisor for the ServiceNow platform, defining the future-state architecture and roadmap.
- Lead the architectural planning and governance of the ServiceNow upgrade, ensuring platform scalability, maintainability, and alignment with ServiceNow best practices.
- Conduct a comprehensive architectural assessment of the current environment, including: Platform design and configuration, Custom applications and customizations, Intake and service request frameworks, Workflow, routing, and approval architecture, Security model, roles, and access controls, Integrations and system dependencies, Data architecture and overall platform health.
- Develop recommendations to reduce technical debt, eliminate unnecessary customizations, and maximize out-of-the-box capabilities.
- Establish and enforce architectural standards, development guidelines, governance processes, and platform lifecycle management practices.
- Partner with executive leadership, business stakeholders, and technical teams to translate business requirements into scalable ServiceNow solutions.
- Review and approve solution designs, ensuring consistency with enterprise architecture principles and ServiceNow best practices.
- Provide technical leadership for ServiceNow developers, administrators, and implementation partners.
- Guide decisions related to platform expansion, module adoption, integrations, and future enhancements.
- Create and maintain ServiceNow architecture documentation, roadmaps, standards, and reference designs.
- Act as the primary authority on ServiceNow platform strategy, performance, security, and scalability.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of ServiceNow experience, including multiple years serving as a ServiceNow Architect or Lead Technical Architect.
- Proven experience designing and governing enterprise-scale ServiceNow implementations and upgrades.
- Deep expertise in: ServiceNow platform architecture, Enterprise solution design, Workflow and process automation, Platform governance, Security architecture and access controls, Integration architecture, CMDB and data architecture, Customization versus configuration strategy.
- Experience leading platform assessments, modernization initiatives, and technical debt reduction efforts.
- Strong understanding of ServiceNow development frameworks, scripting, and platform capabilities.
- Able to influence senior leadership and drive architectural decisions across multiple stakeholder groups.
- Experience mentoring administrators, developers, and technical teams.
- ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA), Certified Master Architect (CMA), or other advanced ServiceNow certifications strongly preferred.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
