About the role
The Hub of the Service Department At Landscapers Supply, our Service Writer / Parts CSR role is one of the most important positions in the store. You’re the connection point between customers, technicians, parts, and management — the person who keeps the entire service operation moving smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers with service and parts requests
- Listen carefully to customer concerns and equipment issues
- Provide clear, professional communication throughout the repair process
- Update customers on repair timelines, delays, and approvals
- Deliver a positive experience customers will remember
- Create repair orders and collect customer approvals
- Cookordinate repair workflow between technicians and service staff
- Track equipment progress through the shop
- Schedule customer pickup or delivery once repairs are complete
- Collect payments and close repair orders
- Order parts needed for repairs and maintain stock inventory
- Aid customers with parts sales and ordering
- Verify warranty eligibility and process warranty claims
- Communicate parts availability and delays to customers and technicians
- Maintain clean and organized service office areas
- Open and close the cash register daily
- Complete service paperwork accurately and efficiently
- Support overall service department organization and workflow

Qualifications

- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a repair shop or service environment, Parts experience for small engines or outdoor power equipment, Basic knowledge of engines and parts, Familiarity with POS systems, Basic Microsoft Office knowledge
