Service Valet / Porter / Driveway Assistant

Ford of Harvey, located at 3737 Lapalco Blvd, Harvey, LA, is seeking a full-time Service Lane Valet / Porter to support the service department in customer service lanes.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in the service drive with a friendly, upbeat attitude
• Direct customers to the appropriate person or location
• Control service traffic flow and vehicle parking
• Park vehicles in assigned areas
• Record customer's name, VIN, tag number, mileage, and existing vehicle damage
• Maintain a clean, clutter-free, and appealing service drive area
• Inspect new vehicles upon arrival to detect damage and verify accessories listed on the invoice
• Record description of damages and list missing items on the delivery receipt
• Maintain a professional appearance
• Perform other tasks as assigned

Requirements

• Valid Driver's License with an impeccable driving record
• Must pass a substance use screening
• Top-notch appearance and customer service skills
• Ability to add, subtract, and multiply using basic math
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple instructions
• Ability to deal with simple tasks and follow directions with minimal supervision
• Long periods of standing, walking, and activities related to job duties
