Service Technician - Union on Knox (Student Living)

About the role

Greystar is a leading real estate platform managing and operating over $300 billion of real estate in more than 265 markets globally. This position is part-time at a College Park, Maryland campus.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders and preventative maintenance tasks.
• Performs “make-ready” process for vacant apartments.
• Manages inventory and tracks supplies.
• Documents and completes paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities.
• Supports cost-cutting initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts.
• Ensures compliance with safety and risk management policies.
• Inspects work performed by contractors and vendors.
• Conducts routine and periodic property inspections.
• Implements improvements and suggests ways to enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Stays updated on industry trends and best practices.

Requirements

Physical demands include standing, walking, bending, stooping, climbing, reaching, carrying up to 25 pounds, and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in property management or similar field preferred.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and OSHA guidelines.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Skills

• Strong attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Ability to operate various tools and equipment.

Pay

The hourly rate for this position is $17.00 - $19.00 per hour.
