Service Technician - Tulsa, OK
About the role
The technicians at Bruckner Truck & Equipment are responsible for diagnosing and repairing various mechanical, electrical, and other breakdowns of trucks and related equipment. They also perform disassembly, repair, and reassembly of truck engines, transmissions, carrier assemblies, clutches, brakes, electrical systems, and other adjustments.
Responsibilities
- Use tools of trade, including precision instruments and technical shop machines and diagnostic tools.
- Read and understand technical publications, such as on-line service software and service bulletins.
- Determine usability of component parts and list and order necessary parts using the dealer management system.
- Write and/or type descriptions of all work performed on each repair using the dealer management system.
- Achieve and maintain certifications as required by the company, the OEM's, or by Federal Law.
- Perform all aspects of the job safely and in accordance with OSHA and Bruckner’s rules and regulations.
Requirements
- High School Diploma desired.
- Must be able to read, write in English, and understand computer-generated reports, office reports, invoices, etc.
- Must be able to operate various computer diagnostic devices, laptops, and tablets.
- 2+ years of mechanical experience.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds to the waist and 25 pounds to the shoulder.
Physical Demands
The position involves essential ability to maneuver around, in, on, and under trucks to properly inspect and diagnose all types of problems and repairs. Must be able to pass a physical and drug/alcohol screens during pre-employment screening, randomly, or as requested throughout employment.
Work Conditions
The position contains some level of stress due to the urgency of some repairs and requires the ability to handle multiple tasks smoothly. Requires regular, predictable attendance.
