About the role

Service Technician role with Stanley Access Technologies, an industry leader in the manufacturing, installation, and servicing of automatic doors. Join a world-class team of diligent problem solvers, innovators, fresh thinkers, and communicators who excite and inspire others.

Responsibilities

  • Service and perform preventative maintenance on Stanley Automatic Door Operating Equipment and other electro/mechanical equipment sold or serviced by the branch.
  • Perform service and repair work in a profitable and proper manner.
  • Record productive time versus travel time.
  • Perform preventive maintenance work in accordance with the service program designated for specific customers.
  • Maintain accurate records of all work performed and parts used at each job following established procedures.
  • Stay updated on all changes/modifications to Stanley equipment and ANSI156.10 standard through published communications.
  • Maintain manuals and documentation up to date as changes are advised.
  • Maintain company vehicles, tools, and other property in proper condition.
  • Maintain an adequate parts inventory for the service vehicle and keep an inventory log.
  • Maintain good customer relations and provide excellent customer service.
  • Assist and instruct others in installation and service methods.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Clean driving record and valid driver’s license.
  • Frequently going up and down ladders.
  • Ability to stand on concrete for several hours a day.
  • Ability to stoop, bend, crouch, kneel or crawl, and twist the spine.
  • Ability to work in various climates.
  • Ability to work overhead.
  • Ability to lift and/or carry weight up to 50-75 lbs.
  • Flexible work schedule: ability to work nights and/or weekends, or be on call as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience servicing automated doors (preferred).
  • Prior experience in the construction field installing door frames and windows (preferred).
  • Associate Degree in a related electrical, mechanical, or industrial field (preferred).
  • Prior experience in the electrical, automotive, HVAC, or communication field (a plus).
  • Prior experience as a glazier installing glass doors or windows and carpentry experience (a plus).

Pay

The expected base hourly rate is $36/hr. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law. Bonus eligible.
