About the role
The Service Technician - SBE repairs and reconditions equipment at profit centers and customer locations. Responsibilities include installation, diagnostics of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues, and providing customer assistance with equipment-related questions or complaints.
Responsibilities
- Investigate and diagnose equipment operating difficulties at customer sites as assigned.
- Repair or adjust equipment to restore functionality, including cleaning and maintaining equipment (e.g., exchanging decanters, cleaning brewers).
- Complete documentation such as closing call verification, invoice completion, asset verification, and customer documentation.
- Repair and refurbish equipment; maintain spare parts inventory.
- Accurately log work completed using a company-provided mobile device.
- Maintain positive customer relationships to uphold company and product image.
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled service activities, including emergency calls, preventative maintenance, surveys, and installations.
- Keep service area and vehicle clean and organized.
- Adhere to company safety guidelines and operate vehicles safely; complete weekly Driver Reports and follow Fleet Manual guidelines.
- Follow all safety standards and policies set by manufacturers and the company.

Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Solid understanding of repairing small electrical appliances.
- Willingness to learn how to connect equipment to water sources, add additional lines, and manage drainage (e.g., copper, braided, and PEX lines).
- Six months to one year of experience in equipment service operations or vocational training.
- Ability to read and write in English; strong communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
Physical Demands
- May involve lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and/or extended walking and standing.
- May require wearing uniforms and/or Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
