Service Technician & Mechanic - Truck & Trailer

About the role

ALL Crane Service, located in Columbus, OH, is seeking a Service Technician & Mechanic - Truck & Trailer. Hands-on experience with heavy duty Class 8 semi-tractors and trailers is required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair trucks, trailers, and other construction equipment
• Diagnose, repair, adjust, and modify components as needed
• Read, understand, and interpret operating manuals, parts manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings
• Provide positive interface with service writers, supervisor, parts department, and customers
• Prepare proper documentation of actions taken
• Work with diagnostic equipment and receive training for troubleshooting and repairs
• Maintain conformity to safety requirements and other regulations
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Strong diesel engine, hydraulic, and electrical background
• Strong initiative and ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision
• Possess a basic set of mechanic’s hand tools
• Ability to work safely around moving machinery and in conditions with marked changes in temperature and humidity
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Previous experience with Kenworth and Peterbilt trucks is a plus
• Experience with diagnostic software such as Cummins INSITE is highly desired

Pay

Competitive wages with a $300 candidate sign-on bonus payable after 100 days of continuous, successful employment.
