Service Technician & Mechanic - Heavy Duty Truck

About the role

ALL Crane Service, located in Independence, OH is seeking a Service Technician & Mechanic - Heavy Duty Truck to keep our fleet up and running. This is a full-time, non-exempt position with comprehensive benefits package in a shop environment. This position is eligible for a $300 sign-on bonus after 100 days of continuous, successful employment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, perform preventive maintenance, and repair heavy duty trucks in the ALL fleet
• Diagnose, repair, adjust, and modify components as needed
• Read, understand, and interpret operating manuals, parts manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings
• Interface positively with service writers, supervisor, parts department, and customers
• Prepare proper documentation of actions taken
• Maintain conformity to safety requirements and other regulations
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Experience performing DOT inspections is a plus
• Strong diesel engine, hydraulic, and electrical background
• Strong initiative; ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision
• Must have a basic set of mechanic’s hand tools
• Ability to work safely around moving machinery; to work in conditions with marked changes in temperature & humidity
• Able to lift 50 lbs
• Previous experience upfitting new Peterbilt & Kenworth tractors is a plus
• Experience with diagnostic software such as Cummins INSITE is highly desired
